Everything you need to know for your first Pasay massage — where to go, what to expect, and how to make the most of it.
Choose Your Venue
First-timers: start with Taipei Spa Cuneta (₱800–₱2,500) for a no-pressure private room experience. Casino resort spas are wonderful but save them for when you know you enjoy massage.
Choose Swedish Massage
For first timers, Swedish (relaxation) massage is the correct starting point. Light to medium pressure, oil-based, full body. It's forgiving and universally pleasant.
Communicate Your Pressure
Tell your therapist if pressure is too light or too strong. This is completely normal and expected. Filipino therapists are trained to accommodate — there is no 'toughing it out' required.
Arrive 15 Minutes Early
At casino resort spas (Okada, Solaire), arrive 15–30 minutes early for intake form and to use the facilities. At Taipei Spa, walk-in is fine — no advance setup needed.
Post-Massage
Drink water. You may feel slightly sore 24 hours after if pressure was firm. This is normal. Avoid alcohol immediately after. Most people feel significantly better the next day.
